Two new development applications have landed with City of Parramatta Council for Epping properties this week, both signalling the kind of low-key residential turnover happening street by street across the suburb.
21 Helen Street
The application proposes demolition of the existing buildings on site, followed by construction of a two storey dwelling with a garage, fencing, and associated landscape works. It’s a straightforward knockdown-rebuild, replacing an older house with a new two-storey home.
2 Hermington Street
This application covers demolition of existing structures and construction of a new dual occupancy. It’s currently listed as a modification, correcting owner details on the DA, rather than a fresh proposal, meaning the underlying dual occupancy plan was already in train before this update.
Part of a Bigger Pattern
Neither application is large by Sydney standards. But together they reflect the steady, block-by-block residential redevelopment reshaping Epping: older single dwellings making way for new houses and dual occupancies as the suburb’s housing stock turns over.
Both applications are publicly listed and open for community review through Council’s standard DA notification process.
